Future Music Festival is an annual music festival that features Australian and international artists. The festival is held at five locations across Australia-Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide. The festival began in 2006 as a one day event and has since evolved into a travelling festival similar to Big Day Out and Soundwave.

Future Summer Locations

The Festival was last held in 2015 and has been held at various locations across Australia from late February to early March.

Where: Royal Randwick Racecourse, Sydney

Sydney is the state capital of New South Wales and the most populous city in Australia. Located onAustralia’s east coast, the city surrounds one of the world’s largest natural harbours.Sydneyis known as one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Other attractions include the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Bondi Beach.

Perth is the capital city of the Australian state of Western Australia and is the fourth most populous city in Australia.Perth’s beaches are amongst the cities great attractions with Sorrento Beach being one of the finest. 

Where: Brisbane Showground

Brisbane is the capital and most populous city of Queensland and the third most populous city in Australia. Popular attractions include South Bank Parklands, the City Botanic Gardens and Portside Wharf.

Where: Adelaide Showground, Adelaide

Adelaide is the capital city of South Australia and the fifth largest city in Australia. Adelaide is home to numerous live music and theatre venues including Adelaide Oval, Thebarton Theatre and Dunstan Playhouse.

The line up

Past line ups have included big names such as DJ Avicii with hits including Levels, Hey Brother, Wake Me Up and his latest single The Days. Hip Hop and R&B sensation Drake has played his hits including All of Me, Hold On, We’re Going Home and Take Care for the first time on Australian shores!

Other artists who have graced the various stages: Avicii, Drake, The Prodigy, Afrojack, Knife Party, Martin Garrix, Hilltop Hoods, Timmy Trumpet, Nero, Example, Die Antwoord, Darude, SIgma, 2 Chainz, Kiesza, Green Velvet, Seth Troxler, Gorgon City, Franz Ferdiand, Carnage, Bassjackers, Yellow Claw, Throttle, Tchami, Blasterjaxx and Robin Shulz.

Over 200 local acts have joined the party too including 99 Royale, Alex Rolland, Black and Blunt, Tom Piper, Ivec, Heirs to the Throne, Deppers, Lukas Wimmler, Yours Truly, Bronx, Jimmy Ellis, Nemo, New York Cats, Terror Terror, Dave Winnel, Jesabel, Samuel Spencer, Rocko Goddamit, Sleepy Sang, Trentertainment  Winton, Expect Is and Ben Morris.

Tickets & upgrades

General admission for the event varies but is normally around $150 plus a smll booking fee. For an extra amount you can join the Sunset Club which is a tasty little upgrade that ensures that you're getting the Future fetival ultimate summer experience.

The Sunset Club is a glamorous festival meeting place where you and your mates can kick back, take a break, grab a cocktail and recharge before heading back into the action. Access to the Oasis lounge provides you and your friends the perfect place to chill out on day beds and couches and soak up the atmosphere

As part of the Sunset Club you will have access to an exclusive oasis where you will enjoy pop-up bars offering a full range of premium drinks and exclusive cocktails, free Wi-Fi access and phone charging outlets and premium toilets plus loads more.  

If you are looking for the ultimate experience upgrade to the First Class Experience, with all the amenities, the best views of the two main stages and access to the Sunset Club, but get in quick as tickets are limited and are only available at the Sydney, Perth and Melbourne events.

The First Class Experience tickets are approximately $350 plus a booking fee and includes 1x ticket for Future Music Festival, priority entry into the festival, access to the First Class Lounge, Gourmet food and beverage pass, complimentary pampering, access to the Sunset Club and much more.
